Stamped Pattern Masculine Birthday

Thursday, March 8, 2018

One thing I never have enough of is birthday cards.  That is hands down the type of card I use the most.  I send them to friends and family and also try to put one in my co-workers' mailboxes at work.  Working in a high school, I work with a lot of people.  Even if I go to my stash and find that I do have a birthday card on hand, it's almost always not appropriate for a male recipient.  I really hate trying to throw together a card at the last minute.  It's stressful, I don't enjoy it and most of the time I don't end up loving the result.  So from time to time I try to remember to make a few masculine birthday cards and tuck them away for when I need them.

I made this one using the Happy Harlequin mini stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  This set is right up my alley because I love stamping patterns.  For this design I chose just one diamond stamp and stamped it repeatedly alternating between 4 different colors.  I used Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal and Ocean Tides.  That's something I really love about PTI dye inks, you can quickly change from one color to the next with a simple wipe of the stamp.  The colors don't become contaminated or altered due to ink residue left on the stamp!

I die cut a window in the center  using the Mat Stack 5 die and stamped a sentiment from the Offbeat Birthday stamp set in Smokey Shadow ink.

Hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by!
